Job Description:
Position 1: Laboratory Assistant (Teaching Lab)
Department: FOST
Eligibility Criteria:
Minimum of a F.Sc or Associate Degree in Sciences, Chemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology, or related field.
Experience in a teaching lab setting preferred.
Basic knowledge of chemistry.
Strong organizational skills.
Proficiency with lab equipment.
Attention to detail.
Adherence to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist teachers in conducting practical sessions.
Prepare and arrange laboratory items and reagents.
Collaborate with teachers to facilitate seamless practical sessions.
Maintain lab equipment and inventory.
Oversee lab cleanliness and safety.
Position 2: Laboratory Assistant (Food Lab)
Department: FOST
Eligibility Criteria:
Minimum of a Diploma or Associate Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field.
Experience in food analysis or microbiology.
Familiarity with food chemistry techniques.
Proficiency with food lab equipment.
Strong attention to detail.
Knowledge of lab safety standards.
Adaptability to support various lab tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in food processing operations.
Prepare ingredients and materials.
Support product packaging, labeling, and storage.
Adhere to safety protocols and hygiene guidelines.
Maintain equipment and inventory.
Document operational activities and maintain records.
