Job Position: Geography Sales Manager

Function: Customer Development

Location: Karachi

Role:Permanent

Job Purpose

  • The GSM leads the entire Geo team (approx. 35 FTE) and ensures that primary and secondary sales (VOL & VAL) objectives are regularly being achieved.
  • Develops the ‘Route to Market’ strategy together with the Sales Director and ensures otif implementation.
  • Manages performance of relevant stakeholders in the team, inclusive of direct reports, key accounts, and general customers
  • Executes all CD agendas within the bounds of the grography
  • Member of CD Field Execution Team working directly under the Field Sales Leadership

Job Responsibilities

  • Sets & advises on area-wise splitting of ambitious targets & monitors closely for performance, initiates timely corrective actions
  • Ensures full implementation of RTM action plans as defined
  • Develops an area/ territory / outlet coverage strategy in line with the overall ULP Strategy
  • Provides inputs into the central Channel/Category plans
  • Reports all activities pertinent to our intellectual property rights and takes necessary reporting actions against copycats
  • Drives talent agenda within the Geo team, by partnering with HR for recruiting top talent and consistently building required field level CD skills and capabilities. Creates a winning spirit within his/her team
  • Ensures optimal resource utilization and consistent performance management
  • Manages the value chain from turnover till RSP incl. distributor profitability and ROI
  • Maintains good business relationships with distributors and key accounts through JBP
  • Responsible for cash collection (locally manufactured products) with support from Finance
  • Responsible for providing reliable inputs for short term forecast for S&OP incl. Risk & Ops
  • Provides the leadership team with weekly updates on secondary sales across the channels / customers as well as market / competitor insights

Education & Work Expereince

  • Minimum of Bachelors Degree is required
  • At least 8-10 years of professional expereince in field sales force, trade category customer marketing, central CD Ops
